What are Bulk Locations?
Within a warehouse management system like CartonCloud, there are usually two different types of locations: single pallet locations and bulk locations. Single pallet locations are typically racked locations, areas that can store a single pallet. Bulk locations on the other hand are locations where you can store multiple pallets. This could be just the floor space inside one of your cold rooms, or it could be an area beside a set of racking that you sometimes put stock in if you're overflowing.

Tracking Bulk Locations
When you're designing your locations and loading them into a warehouse management system, you can specify which location is of which type. Bulk locations work differently from single pallet locations in that every pallet you allocate to that location gets assigned a unique pallet ID. You can then use this for scanning the pallets around, so you can still move pallets from bulk location to single pallet location.
