Shared Rate Cards

It's common in transport and warehousing to have a number of rates which are shared among lots of customers, so when you go to choose your transport management system or warehouse management system you should check that it's flexible enough to share rate cards.

For example, you may have your standard rates and, in addition to that, rate cards which are specific to a certain customers. Now in CartonCloud, you can define rate cards which are shared by multiple customers, or you can create Individualized rate cards.

In CartonCloud, the concept of rate card cascading allows you to apply your standard rates to a customer but then also allows you to simply modify one rate from that rate card. This may be the case when you have negotiated a special rate for this customer. And this enables you to very easily modify your rates. So rather than having to modify rates for every single customer, when you come to do your annual rate increase, you can simply modify the rate in one place and it will apply to all customers that are using this rate.
