What Are Temperature Zones?
Within our warehouse management system you can configure different temperature zones for different warehouse locations within your warehouse. What this allows you to do is designate certain locations to only be allowed to store frozen product while other locations are allowed to store, say, chilled and ambient.
You can then set up rules to define what product can be stored where, which can prevent the user from accidentally allocating stock to the wrong location.
Cold Chain Storage Made Easy
For example, if you just had a whole pallet of frozen seafood arrive and the user tried to allocate this to a chilled location, the system would prevent them as that chilled location hasn't been set up to allow frozen stock.
You can also go in and define different charges for the different location types. A common example is that you would charge much more for frozen pallet storage than you would for ambient pallet storage. All of these different rates can be defined based on the temperature of that particular location.
