CartonCloud - 2020 in review blog
Vincent Fletcher, CEO & Founder - CartonCloud

I think we would all agree that 2020 has been a year like no other. With many of us segregated from state to state and facing and adapting to so many new challenges in our daily life and work life, we can all be proud to acknowledge how the logistics industry kept delivering during this period.

Last week, the CartonCloud team came together via online meetings and reviewed some really interesting statistics extracted from the CartonCloud WMS and TMS systems. We also reviewed our year as a company and I wanted to share some of our highlights with you. There have been some challenges, but many more highs, and thanks to our team, our customers, and the partnerships we have formed, this enabled us to continue to succeed. We employed fifteen new team members to enable us to enhance the product more quickly and maintain excellent support.

There were over 3 million consignments and 1.6 million sales orders processed through CartonCloud in 2020 with our clients invoicing $562 million in freight/warehousing. To make it easier to get help when needed, we completely rewrote our knowledge base, responded to over 3,400 support requests and our users watched 1,100 hours of our YouTube videos. That’s no small feat!

Our product team has delivered over 700 enhancements and improvements to CartonCloud throughout the year, from clearer error messages to implementing major features requested through our ideas portal. While there are far too many to list them all, here are a few of the highlights delivered in 2020:

While we’ve just released some major new pieces of functionality, we have a number of other large, exciting new features very close to completion. We will be announcing more details early in the new year with releases scheduled for Q1.

We’re really passionate and proud to develop quality, user-friendly software that helps you in your day. As we know, logistics never sleeps, there’s never a good time for system outages or disruptions to your business. To that end, behind the scenes, our infrastructure team has been working extremely hard to improve the stability of our applications. In 2020 we’ve managed to achieve 99.96% uptime, with the only downtime being for scheduled system maintenance, and minor outages (ie: search not working).

I’d like to say a huge thank you, to all of our customers, end-users, employees, industry partners, and families. Merry Christmas, may you all have a safe holiday season and a prosperous and healthy 2021.
