Backorder Management

We’re excited to announce the rollout of Backorder Management — a smarter, more flexible way to handle orders when stock is unavailable.

‍What’s New?
CartonCloud's Backorder Management gives you full control over orders affected by stock shortages, with configurable workflows to match your operational preferences:

• New ‘Awaiting Stock’ status for unfulfilled orders.
• Option to hold entire orders or split and partially fulfill.
• Manual or automatic stock allocation as inventory arrives.
• Full tracking of split orders, history logs, and pending items.
• Notifications when orders are awaiting stock or split.
  

Note: CartonCloud's Self-managed Shopify integrations set to auto-fulfill currently do not support order splitting (this will be available soon).

Workflow Options Include:

• Hold the entire order until all items are available.
• Split orders when partial stock is available.
• Auto-allocate stock to backorders as it arrives.
• Manually review and allocate stock as needed.

ZPL Generator

Designing and previewing ZPL Document Templates just got a whole lot easier!

What’s New?

• Access the new "Generate ZPL" tool directly from the Document Templates page in the webapp.
• Quickly edit and preview your ZPL label designs without needing to leave the platform.

Enhancements to Picking and Pick to Tote on Mobile

Mobile app releases, 6.19.0 and 6.20.0 for iOS and Android bring even more improvements to both Picking and Pick to Tote modes!

What’s New?

• We’ve massively reduced the number of taps required to apply Adhoc Charges in Picking and Pick to Tote.
• Within Pick to Tote, you can now view Custom Fields (e.g., Expiry Date, Batch ID) in the item list view (this was added to single-order Picking last month)
• During Packing, after scanning a tote and completing an order, the tote filter now clears automatically, making it faster to move to the next tote.
• The Wave Pick Select Mode screen has also had a facelift to match the latest design updates across Picking and Pick to Tote.

Remember to update your app to access all the latest improvements!

Updated Force Pack Handling for Picking and Wave Picks

We’ve updated how Force Pack settings work across different picking workflows to provide even more control and consistency.

Purchase Order List View Customisation

Now you can personalise your Purchase Order List View!

What’s New?

• Simply click the cog icon on the PO list page to select which columns you want to display.
• Tailor your view to see the information that matters most to your workflow.

Barcode Scan Tester (Mobile App)

Scanning devices can be configured in a multitude of different ways depending on the hardware manufacturer and model, and it can be challenging to determine exactly what the CartonCloud app is receiving from the scanner.

What’s new?

• A brand new Barcode Scan Tester tool to the mobile app (accessible from the bottom of the Settings screen). 
• Diagnose exactly what your scanning hardware is providing to the mobile app.
• Displays unprintable characters such as CR/LF and <GS> separators contained within some SSCC barcodes.

Product Tags

Tags are now available in CartonCloud! This highly-requested feature allows you to apply one or more tags to Products, making it easier to categorise, search, and manage your stock. 

What’s New?

• Apply one or more tags to a Product directly from the Product edit screen.
• Tags are displayed on the Product view page for easy reference.
• The Customer Stock Report now includes an optional 'Tags' column, displaying a comma-separated list of tags for each product.
• Tags can be exported and imported along with Products.
• Any newly created tag is automatically added to the pre-defined list, making it available for future use.

Tags are a flexible system that we plan to roll out across other entities in the future, providing even more ways to organise and filter your data.
