Carrier Connections Is Now Available to Everyone

After a phased rollout, Carrier Connections is live for every CartonCloud customer. Connect to 150+ carriers, rate shop straight from the Pack Screen, automate carrier selection with Carrier Selection Rules, and bill customers using Cost+Margin Billing, all without leaving CartonCloud.

August Improvements to Carrier Connections:

  • International shipments can now be rated and booked through AusPost, EasyPost and Shippit directly from the Pack Screen, with the product and order data your carrier needs for customs sent automatically.
  • Multi-parcel bookings now split automatically into one consignment per tracking number, each keeping its own label, barcode and tracking, so nothing gets lost when a carrier hands back more than one tracking number.

Pricing: Shippit and EasyPost connections remain free until 1 October 2026, after which they’re billed the same way as other self-managed integrations. Direct connections, including AusPost and the soon-to-launch USPS, stay free.

Dock Management Keeps Growing

Since launching last month, Dock Management has picked up a stack of improvements:

  • Load Types describe the different kinds of work your site handles (a container unload vs. a pallet drop) so duration, direction and carrier eligibility are set automatically once, instead of per booking.
  • Bulk Booking Import lets you plan a week of bookings in a spreadsheet and upload it in one go, with problem rows flagged (not blocking) and a one-click undo if it’s not what you expected.
  • Custom booking fields and document requirements mean carriers can now be asked for exactly what your site needs (a reference number, a container number, a delivery docket) before they can submit a booking.
  • Notifications and approvals: carriers can be emailed automatically when a booking is cancelled, rescheduled or completed, and you can require your team to approve carrier bookings before they land on a dock.
  • Today Board customisation and site/dock closures: choose which columns your live board shows, and block out a dock or a whole site for holidays or recurring closures. Carriers simply won’t see those times as available.

New Self-Managed Integration: Faire

Faire joins our growing self-managed integrations lineup. Connect your customer’s Faire store directly to CartonCloud and Faire orders automatically create Outbound Orders ready for fulfilment. Once dispatched, Faire is notified and tracking numbers are sent back automatically.

Customer Visibility for Orders Containing Their Stock

If you run Cross Customer Picking, your customers can now see Sale Orders and consignments that contain their stock, even when the order itself belongs to another customer. It’s a read-only, line-level view: they see their own product lines and order status, not another customer’s charges, documents or history. The setting is off by default, so nothing changes until you turn it on.

Monetary Values Now Display Your Configured Currency

Financial screens, reports, PDFs and invoices now show your organisation’s actual currency symbol (£, €, zł, CHF and more) instead of defaulting to a dollar sign. It’s a display-only change; charge calculations and invoice values are unchanged. This is rolling out progressively, so it may take a few weeks to reach your account.

Separate Invoices for Sale and Purchase Orders

You can now generate a standalone invoice for each sale order or purchase order, the same way you already can for consignments. Turn on Generate Single Invoice Per Sale Order and/or Generate Single Invoice Per Purchase Order in a customer’s invoice settings to bill per order instead of combining everything onto one period invoice.

New Auto-Confirm on Putaway Speeds Up Receival

Receiving a large inbound order used to mean hundreds of individual confirm taps. A new mobile setting, on by default, now confirms each line the moment it’s scanned during Purchase Order Verify, no extra tap required. The Verify dialog is also clearer about what closing out unconfirmed lines will actually do.

Required Delivery Date Now on the Sale Order List

You can now add Required Delivery Date as a column on the Sale Order list, and filter by it, so you can prioritise picking and packing by when orders actually need to reach customers, without opening each order individually.

See Income, Expense and Margin Before Booking a Shipping Rate

The Pack Screen now shows the expected income and carrier expense behind every shipping rate before you book it, including fuel levies and a full charges breakdown. It’s an easy way to catch a missing transport rate card or an undercharge before it reaches an invoice.

Coming Soon

Expanded Public API, In-App Chatbot (Fletch) & MCP Server: A ton more publicly available API endpoints, plus an in-app AI chatbot and MCP server so you can work with your CartonCloud data conversationally or connect your own AI tools and agents.

Directed Putaway: Guides warehouse staff to the optimal location for stock as it’s received, taking the guesswork out of putaway. (Register your interest if you’d like to be part of the beta!)

Shopify Inventory Sync: Inventory syncing for the Self-Managed Shopify Integration, keeping Shopify stock levels aligned with what’s actually in your warehouse.

GS1/SSCC Scanning in Picking: Bringing single-scan product, batch and quantity capture to Picking, following strong uptake in Putaway.

Customer Stop / Hold Freight on unpaid accounts: Automatically stop or hold freight for customers with unpaid accounts, giving you a built-in credit control lever.

Adhoc Charges on Pack Screen: Add Sale Order and Consignment Adhoc charges directly from the Pack Screen as you pack, instead of navigating away to add them separately.

Pick vs Pack times on Sale Orders: We’re splitting pickers and pick times from packers and pack times. These fields will be available in reports and within Business Intelligence.

That’s a wrap for August! Questions about anything above? Reach out to our support team, we’d love to hear from you.

Q: Which carriers support international shipping in CartonCloud?

A: Customers can see these orders if you run Cross Customer Picking. They get a read-only, line-level view of Sale Orders and consignments containing their stock, showing their own product lines and order status only. The setting is off by default.

Q: Can I invoice each sale order separately in CartonCloud?
A: Separate invoicing is now available for sale orders and purchase orders, the same way it already worked for consignments. Turn on Generate Single Invoice Per Sale Order or Generate Single Invoice Per Purchase Order in a customer’s invoice settings to bill per order.
