Searching for a B2B eCommerce platform? We've got you covered. A number of our clients are in this space and are often searching for the best solutions in the market, both here and abroad.

Today we'll be giving you a brief overview of the most popular B2B eCommerce platforms available. Even if you're just starting out, bookmark this list as you'll be able to find the right solution that fits your needs.

1. CS-Cart

CS-Cart is both B2B and B2C but they absolutely fluorish with their B2B engine. Instead of many out-of-the-box solutions, theirs is a self-hosted package designed for wholesalers and manufacturers big and small.

With now 15+ years in the game, they have grown to tens of thousands of customers with rollout on 34,000+ websites globally including several hundred in Australia. If you're searching for the bells and whistles, then you'll absolutely find it with CS-Cart which is paired with a clean end-user experience.

2. BigCommerce

If you've been online for some time then you've probably heard of BigCommerce. One solid advantage is the ability to use a single website and sell to both businesses and individuals.

You'll find a lot of features but so too some restrictions. As such, you don't quite get the freedom to customize things exactly the way you desire and hosting is done on their side, not yours. If you're just starting out with B2B eCommerce then this is an ideal solution.

3. TradeGecko

Another great solution specifically for Australians is TradeGecko. It isn't designed for small players but if you're growing your business, then the features can outweight the price.

We love their analytics and reporting tools which allow even the most tech-challenged of people to get a grasp over their business. One lack is the hybrid feature that BigCommerce features, but otherwise this is a solid yet simply solution with great customer service.

4. Pepperi

A few large Australian companies (read: 100+ employees) have migrated over to Pepperi. The features are almost endless including easy intergration with ERP and CRM systems through a Zapier connection.

The platform offers native mobile apps for end-users of both iOS and Android paired with offline data for the poor signal spots within a warehouse. A real challenge is the pricing which makes it outside the realm of most small and medium businesses.

5. OROCommerce

For the biggest of wholesalers and distributors, have a look at OROCommerce. This is enterprise-level software which is both flexible and paired with many features including corporate accounts.

This is truly advanced and not for the faint-hearted. You'll likely need an OROCommerce rep to conduct some in-house training and pricing is based on the project size unlike every other option on this list.

In Summary

One notable addition is Magento which is open-source software. It's robust yet complex and will require a team behind you to support you and your business, so consider the ongoing price impacts.

Now, going business to business has unique requirements and challenges at play. We should know - CartonCloud serves several hundred Australian businesses.

As such, when choosing a platform for B2B eCommerce, considering the amount of intergrations you can do, how easy it is to re-order stock, the number of storefronts and warehouse locations it supports and ultimately how flexible it is for your growth. After all, you'll likely be using it well into the future as your business grows.

If you're looking for an Australian company that can serve you well into the future, consider CartonCloud. Get in touch today for a free demo.
