This quarter, CartonCloud opened Carrier Connections to every customer, took Dock Management from launch to a full scheduling tool, and introduced Business Intelligence, where you can build a report just by asking a question. Four new self-managed storefront integrations shipped, and picking, putaway and receiving all got faster on mobile.

TL;DR:

  • Carrier Connections is now open to all customers, across 150+ carriers.
  • Dock Management grew from launch into a full scheduling and notifications system.
  • Business Intelligence lets you build reports with AI by asking a quick question.
  • Four new self-managed storefront integrations, Squarespace, Wix, Faire and MYOB added to the lineup.
  • Picking, putaway and receiving on mobile all got faster and more automated.
  • Directed Putaway is in Beta now, with general release expected within weeks.

Welcome to CartonCloud's Feature Spotlight for Q3 2026. This quarter, Carrier Connections opened up to every customer, Dock Management went from launch to a full scheduling tool, and our new Business Intelligence module gave you a way to build your own reports by simply asking a question.

The thread running through all of it: fewer handoffs, fewer manual steps, and more of your operation visible in one place. Below is everything that shipped, grouped by what it does for your day.

Ship Smarter with Carrier Connections, Now Open to Everyone

Carrier Connections is now available to all customers. Rate shop, book and print labels from the Pack Screen across 150+ carriers, and see exactly what each shipment costs you and earns you before you commit.

  • Carrier Connections for all customers — Connect to 150+ carriers, compare rates on the Pack Screen, bill customers with Cost+Margin Billing, and automate carrier choice with Carrier Selection Rules. Direct carrier connections, including AusPost and USPS, remain free. From 1 October 2026, Shippit and EasyPost platform connections are charged the same way as other self-managed integrations.
  • International shipping — Rate and book international shipments with AusPost, EasyPost and Shippit straight from the Pack Screen. CartonCloud passes the product and value details the carrier needs for customs. You'll need country of origin, HS code, MID code and a product description on your products, line-level sale prices and an incoterm on the Sale Order.
  • Income, expense and margin before you book — Shipping rates on the Pack Screen now show expected income alongside the carrier's cost, with a breakdown that includes fuel levies. You can spot a missing rate card or an undercharge before the consignment goes out. Only users with permission to see charging information see the detail.
  • Multi-parcel bookings split automatically — When a carrier returns more than one tracking number, CartonCloud splits the consignment so each tracking number gets its own consignment, label and barcode. Carrier charges are applied to each one.
  • Fuel levy as its own line item — Fuel levy charges are now recorded as individual charge lines directly under the charge they relate to, so they show up in Bulk Charges reports and Business Intelligence. Invoices read the same as before. This applies to charges created from now on and is rolling out progressively.

More Storefronts, No Support Ticket Required

Four more platforms joined our self-managed integration lineup this quarter, and Shopify picked up two upgrades. You or your customer can set each one up in minutes from the Self-Managed Integrations page.

  • Squarespace — Orders create Outbound Orders automatically, and tracking goes back to the customer once the consignment is dispatched.
  • Wix — Same hands-off setup, with the option to hold off creating the order until the Wix order is paid.
  • Faire — Faire orders flow in when they're ready to fulfil, and the order is marked fulfilled with tracking numbers sent back automatically.
  • MYOB — Connect a customer's MYOB company file and Item orders or Item invoices create Outbound Orders. With Complete Fulfilment enabled, tracking details are sent back to the MYOB invoice.
  • Shopify order editing and upsell apps — A new setting holds Sale Order creation until Shopify releases its fulfilment hold, so orders reach your warehouse only after customers finish adding, swapping or upgrading.
  • Shopify inventory sync — CartonCloud can now push your current sellable stock to Shopify as available quantities, so your storefront matches what you can actually ship.

Dock Management: From Launch to Daily Driver

Dock Management launched in August to replace phone calls and spreadsheets with one live schedule. Since then, we've shipped a steady run of improvements based on how operators actually run their docks.

  • The launch — Carrier self-booking links, a live calendar across every dock, a driver check-in kiosk, and a Today Board for the wall of your office or dock. Dock Management is an add-on available on all plans. Contact our support team to enable it.
  • Load types and bulk import — Define the kinds of work your site handles, and each booking inherits the right duration and direction. Import up to 500 bookings from a spreadsheet, review them before anything is created, and undo the whole import in one click.
  • Bookings list view — Filter, sort and search every booking across the week, choose your columns and export to CSV. It's the quickest way to find the three bookings still missing a dock.
  • Notifications and approvals — Email carriers when a booking is cancelled, moved or departed, and alert each depot when a new carrier booking arrives. Switch on booking approval at busy sites so carrier requests wait in the Unassigned lane until your team allocates a dock.
  • Completed status, LIVE tag and No Show — A new Completed step separates a finished unload from a vehicle that has left site, which suits dropped containers. Live unloads carry a red LIVE tag, and No Show keeps a truck that never turned up distinct from a cancelled booking.
  • Closures, a custom Today Board and booking labels — Block a dock or a whole site for holidays and recurring pick-ups, choose the columns on your Today Board, and print a 4x6 booking label for your Zebra.

Answer Your Own Data Questions with Business Intelligence

Business Intelligence replaces our previous BI Dashboard with a far more flexible way to explore your data, and it comes with an AI assistant that builds reports for you.

  • Explore with AI — Ask a question in plain English, such as how many sale orders you created each week over the last three months, and get a chart or table back in seconds. Refine it with follow-up questions, then save it to your collection or add it to a dashboard.
  • Build your own charts and dashboards — Your Custom Business Intelligence collection is your own space to create, edit and save charts, questions and dashboards around what your business actually asks.
  • A prebuilt dashboard to start from — A default dashboard, maintained by CartonCloud, gives you an overview of key activity and shows what data is available.

You can report on Consignments, Sale Orders and Purchase Orders. You'll find it under Reports > Business Intelligence. Available on certain plans.

Put Stock Away Faster with Directed Putaway (Beta)

Directed Putaway entered Beta with a select group of customers, and general release is expected within the next two weeks.

When you put stock away on the mobile app from a Purchase Order or with Scan Move, CartonCloud suggests the best location for it. Suggestions are recommended based on empty locations, where that SKU is already stored, recent putaway and pick activity, and the warehouse zones the product belongs to. You can search, filter and sort the suggestions, and you're always free to follow them or choose your own location.

Early feedback from Beta customers is shaping the finished feature ahead of full rollout.

A Faster, Smarter Warehouse Floor

A set of mobile and warehouse workflow upgrades, all aimed at fewer taps and fewer mistakes during receiving, putaway and loading.

  • Scan Load / Unload (Beta) — Scan consignments off a vehicle at the depot against a Manifest and onto a vehicle against a Run Sheet, instead of working from paper checks. Run Sheet and Manifest statuses update as scanning completes.
  • Auto-Confirm on Putaway — Receiving a large inbound order no longer takes hundreds of confirm taps. With the new mobile setting on, each scan confirms its line straight away. Available on Android and iOS from version 6.54.0.
  • Receival data on mobile — If you capture temperatures or condition notes at receival, your team now fills in those fields in the Android and iOS apps when tapping Mark as Received. Required fields are validated first.
  • Backordering without split lines — A new customer setting moves the whole SKU line to Awaiting Stock when the full quantity isn't available, so one product line is never split across two orders.
  • Required Delivery Date on the Sale Order list — Add it as a column, sort by it and filter by date range, so you can pick and pack in the order your customers need delivery.

Clearer Reporting, Billing, Access and API

Reporting, billing, permissions and integration tooling all got more flexible this quarter.

  • Refreshed API docs and more endpoints — Our public API documentation has been updated and now covers a significant number of new endpoints, so your developers and integration partners can do more without a custom build. Explore the CartonCloud API docs.
  • API Clients with Administrator and Customer roles — Give an API Client the same role as a User, and check exactly what it can do with the new View permissions window. Note that the Customer role no longer includes Edit Warehouse Product, so set the client to Manual if it needs to update products.
  • Separate invoices per Sale Order or Purchase Order — Bill customers per order instead of combining everything on one period invoice. Turn it on in the customer's invoice settings, and it works alongside the existing per-consignment option.
  • Your currency, on every screen and document — Monetary values now show your configured currency symbol across screens, reports, PDFs, Excel exports and invoices, including £, € and zł. Warehouses with their own currency use it for their work. This is a display change only, and it's rolling out progressively.
  • Customer visibility on Cross Customer Picking — Let customers see a read-only view of orders that contain their stock, even when another customer owns the order. They see only their own product lines. The setting is off by default.

Coming Soon

  • Directed Putaway: general release — After a successful Beta, Directed Putaway is expected to be available to all customers within the next two weeks.
  • Adhoc Charges on the Pack Screen — Add adhoc charges as you pack, without leaving the Pack Screen.
  • More mobile app performance improvements — Further speed-ups to the CartonCloud mobile app are on the way.
  • ShipStation Click+Connect — Connect ShipStation to CartonCloud yourself, with no support call needed, just like our other self-managed integrations.
  • Fletch, our in-app assistant, and an MCP Connector — Get answers without leaving CartonCloud, and connect CartonCloud to your own AI tools.
  • More API endpoints — We're continually adding endpoints to our public API docs, so keep an eye on api-docs.cartoncloud.com.

What's next?

Thank you for the feedback that shaped this quarter, especially from everyone who trialled our Beta features. We'll keep building toward the same goal: one connected flow from your selling channels to your dock, your warehouse floor and your carriers.
