May has been a huge month for feature releases in CartonCloud! We’ve introduced powerful new tools and enhancements to give you more flexibility, automation, and visibility across your warehouse and transport operations.

Mobile App Improvements

Mobile app releases, 6.21.0 and 6.22.0 for iOS and Android bring even more improvements to mobile Picking and Packing! Many of these improvements are coming from feedback we’ve received from our customers either via our Ideas Portal, or when on the ground with them.

⚡ Workflow Improvements

• Faster Adhoc Charges: We’ve added clear Skip and Submit buttons, reducing taps and speeding things up after packing or picking - saving around 0.5 seconds per order (which really adds up on busy days!)
• No more "Reloading..." delays when opening Adhoc Charges in Picking (Legacy) and some Wave modes.
• Cleaner success messages: Many alerts now show near the bottom of the screen so you can keep working. Some unnecessary messages have been removed altogether to reduce distractions.
  

📦 Packing Improvements

• Consignment label printing now defaults to 1 (instead of 0), so users don’t need to manually adjust it in most cases, saving 2-3 seconds per order.
  
  • The numeric keyboard now appears by default, making it quicker to update the quantity.‍

📋 Picking Improvements

• Scan and jump into an order: Scanning a Sale Order ID from a pick slip now takes you straight into that order, skipping the search results. (Works when scanning outside the search box.)
• Smarter item reallocation: We’ve made it easier to reallocate items when using the “Scan Pallet or Location Barcode” setting. Now, if you scan a barcode that isn’t a pallet or location, like a serial number (POP Custom Field), the app will check if that specific item matches any in the list.
  
  • This is especially helpful when items have specific criteria (for example, a certain batch number), and the scanned item only matches some of them. The result? Less trial and error and a quicker way to allocate the right item.‍
• Hide Completed Items made clearer: You’ve always had the option to hide completed items, but now, when “Show Completed” is turned on, after completing your first item, a one-time tip reminds you that you can hide them from view, helping you keep things tidy without distraction.
  

🛒 Pick to Tote Enhancements

• Saving tote and quantity is now one step, reducing wait time - especially helpful for users outside APAC.
• No more waiting between orders: You can now keep scanning items for different orders without needing to wait for each tote to save.
• Tote info is now shown on each order in Pick to Tote, so you can quickly match totes to orders without guessing.
• The Orders label is now pinned to the top of item cards in Pick to Tote, giving you instant visibility into how many orders the item belongs to.

Quick Add Product

You might already be using the quick top bar menu to add Consignments, Sale Orders, and Purchase Orders without navigating to their parent pages - and now, you can do the same for Products.

Just tap the + Quick Add option in the top menu and select New Product to create a new one.

Fee Category Merging

Admins can now merge non-system-generated Fee Categories (previously called Charge Subclasses) into another of the same “Applies To” type, cleaning up duplicates while preserving charge history. Once the merge job finishes, the source category is automatically deactivated and hidden everywhere.

Heads-up: Merges are permanent—they can’t be undone.

Typical Use Cases

• Consolidate two “Handling Fee” categories accidentally created.
• Fold legacy categories into a new standard set.
• Tidy up existing Fee Categories before utilising our new General Ledger Mapping feature.

We’re not stopping there! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming soon to CartonCloud:

Advanced Backordering

In April we rolled out Backorder Management to all customers, and we’re close to releasing even more powerful Advanced Backordering features, a new module within Warehouse Premium.

• New option to split orders only if all stock is not due to arrive within [X] days.
• New settings to control when stock is allocated to orders

These features are both included in Advanced Backordering, which is part of Warehouse Premium, however we’re allowing all customers to take advantage of these enhancements for free until September 30th.

Pack Screen for E-Commerce

Introducing a new Pack Screen to speed up high-volume e-commerce packing — with carrier integration, split picking/packing workflows, and connected scale support.

This project is now in Beta with select customers.

Item-Level Scanning (TMS)

Enhance transport operations with item-level scanning, enabling drivers and warehouse staff to scan and track each item throughout the loading, unloading, and delivery process.

SSCC/ASN Consignment Items

Coming soon, you’ll be able to better manage and track SSCC/ASN items at a consignment item level, giving you even more detailed control and visibility for your shipments.

More Click+Connect Integrations

Over the July-September quarter we will be releasing a flurry of additional click+connect integrations including several direct carrier integrations:

• Amazon FBM, Walmart, Ebay
• Auspost, USPS, UPS, Canada Post
• Starshipit (order source and carrier integration)

Directed Putaway

Transform your putaway process with automated storage location suggestions, helping your team find the optimal location for each item in real-time.
