Pick and Pack High-Volume Orders Without Errors or Delays
What’s new this month? CartonCloud’s dedicated Pack Screen, along with a new Picked status and the concept of Warehouse Fulfilments. Together, these provide a more defined and flexible order lifecycle, allowing teams to separate picking and packing into specialist workflows — perfect for businesses managing high volumes of complex products or diverse teams.

Q: What are Warehouse Fulfilments?
A: They’re a new consignment type in CartonCloud that stores package-level data — like what items are packed together, their weight, and dimensions. This helps improve label accuracy and downstream tracking.
Here’s how it helps you:
- Reduce packing errors with a guided screen to assign items to packages by weight, dimensions, and mapping.
- Add accountability with new fulfilment statuses: Picking → Picked → Packed → Dispatched.
- Enhance carrier label accuracy and downstream visibility by leveraging package-level consignment data.
- Gain more control over workflows and split tasks between your team seamlessly.

Get the latest enhancements on the Mobile App Update
- CartonCloud’s Mobile App Version 6.31.0 continues to improve the picking experience for warehouse teams with enhanced visibility and smoother error handling. Support your team with intuitive workflows that adapt to real-world conditions.
- Our latest mobile app update introduces new workflow upgrades to make high-volume picking smoother, more accurate, and less frustrating — without sacrificing speed.
- Visual highlights show unassigned items in red when stock isn’t yet available, helping pickers focus on what’s ready.
- If a mistake is made scanning totes or quantities, only the incorrect value needs to be re-scanned — not the whole entry.
- If a tote is already in use, your team can scan a new one without restarting the process — reducing disruption.

New! Consignments can be created from Sale Orders, giving admins more control.
- We’ve rolled out new organisation-wide consignment defaults for Warehouse customer settings to give you faster setup, more consistency, and full control over how orders are processed across your warehouse.
- By default, Consignment creation is now controlled at the Organisation level, and newly created Customers will automatically use the Organisation setting.

Advanced Backordering is here as part of a WMS Premium subscription.
- Advanced Backordering enables you to fine-tune stock allocation to match your preferred approach to managing delays, partial shipments, or split orders — based on your rules and your customer expectations.
- We’ve improved how admins get notified when stock becomes available for orders that were Awaiting Stock. Admins can now receive the "A new Sale Order available" notification when a Sale Order moves from "Awaiting Stock" to "Awaiting Pick and Pack".

Advanced Backordering: Tailor Your Workflow to Your Rules
- Take control of partial fulfilment and stop unnecessary splits. This feature provides a smarter way to manage incomplete orders, allowing you to align your stock allocation logic with customer expectations and operational realities.
- New capabilities include:
- Smart order splitting logic: Define a time window (e.g. stock due in 3 days) to delay splitting orders unnecessarily.
- Fine-grained stock allocation rules: Choose whether to allocate only if all stock is available, or if remaining stock is arriving soon.
- Helps reduce freight costs, improve customer satisfaction, and eliminate avoidable partial dispatches.
