The use of rate cards is a key feature of the CartonCloud platform and a very important feature of warehouse and transport operations and used extensively within (3PL) Third Party Logistics companies to calculate charges for their clients.

Managing a range of diverse clients can get pretty complex and especially with a manual rating system, and it gets worse if you have a paper-based system or rely on a spreadsheet. The calculations can get pretty detailed and tie up a lot of your administration resources. 

You may have one client who is charged on a total weight basis of their goods in storage, and another who is charged on how many pallet spaces they occupy. Yet another may be charged on the total volume of their goods in the warehouse.  

Transport charges may need to be incorporated on top of warehouse rates, including allowing for fuel levies and other transport related charges.

Adhoc Charges

It’s possible to load in customised charges for things like demurrage (waiting time), hand unload, labelling, and other work that is performed which is not charged automatically through the system.

Storage Charges

Storage charges can be applied to stock which is in the warehouse and allocated to a warehouse location. These charges can be automatically calculated and applied to invoices. 

Fuel Levy

CartonCloud allows you to charge a fuel levy to your customers which can be updated at any time, including charging different fuel levies to different customers.

Delivery Charges
